Please allow me to take a moment to recount my family's experience with our beloved Realtor, Ms. Nicolette Mathieson.

We could not have asked for a finer, more dedicated advocate and agent. We first met Ms. Mathieson about five years ago when we attempted to buy a home for the first time. In the long process, it became clear that we were woefully unprepared for purchasing a home. Indeed we began to wonder if it would be too difficult for us to ever qualify for a home.

Ms. Mathieson could have easily dismissed us during this period, as having wasted her time, and moved on to better prospects. But not so; not her. She was fully persuaded of a better future for our family. During the hard years it took our family to be ready financially, we received regular periodic notes and words of encouragement, and she was instrumental in keeping the dream of owning a home alive for us. When the right time came, Nicolette leapt into action. A great listener, she quickly found relevant listings based on our price range and geographic preferences. When we found a house that we loved, she moved with what seemed to us like warp speed to help us prepare a strategic and well crafted offer letter.

Wonderfully (but not surprisingly) due to her savvy input, our offer was accepted over the others. Again at what seemed like warp speed, she moved swiftly to prepare, help and navigate us through the very complex and daunting escrow process. In each phase, she was several steps ahead, scheduling the right inspectors, referring us to correct supporting agencies, making sure that we met with the right people and had all the documents that we needed on hand.

30 days, countless disclosure forms and signatures later, we are the happy and delighted owners of a new home.

Nicolette is an excellent agent and advocate who fought for us with the tenacity of a defense attorney and displayed to us the supporting optimism of that dear friend who always has your best interest in mind.  We had tried to sell our home 2 other times with no success. Nicolette  is very knowledgeable on the computer and very creative. She used many creative ideas to get our home sold within 5 weeks. She loves to research and found out that geodesic dome homes are very difficult to sell. She likes to take photographs and took many of our property. She made great flyers and had a very large red sign which helped to market our property. She stayed up late adding our listing Easter night. We were happy to receive many calls the first  morning from people wanting to view our home. I am very thankful. Nicolette's hard work, knowledge and negotiating skills helped me through an escrow that had several difficult moments. She helped me find a property right away in the exact location I wanted and my offer was quickly accepted. 

But then the seller wanted to take a higher back up offer so he caused stress trying to interrupt our transaction. And after I had already paid for testing he did not want to sign extensions when I still had not received official word back from the county that the 2 acre parcel was build-able. 

Nicolette worked very hard on my behalf to keep me well informed and the escrow moving smoothly as she communicated very well with the seller's agent. She found several ways to extend time frame to allow extra days for soil and septic inspection reports to get back for me to know I could move forward safely, to buy and also build.
